The Potential Final Post Until....

Yes. You guessed it. The NYCBros are walking away from you. Walking away for good! After nearly three years of blogging at http://www.nycbros.blogspot.com/, this website will no longer be. It must be this way. Caitlin and I have officially moved to Evanston, so the legacy of all three bros in NYC is on hold for now. If we end up moving back to NYC after my school program is over, maybe this website will be resurrected (for the second time!). But for now, we are calling it quits. It would only serve as a painful reminder to us that the brothers cannot be together at any time that we want to - and this is a pain that I cannot bare!

But come back to this blog in a few weeks and hopefully there will be a link for a blog that Caitlin and I will be maintaining regarding our adventures in the mid-west. We will be in Costa Rica for the next while...but we'll be back.

We cannot express our appreciation for all our friends in NYC and all the amazing times they have provided over the past 4 years. Stephen and Michael will continue bringing brother love to the island that is Manhattan...but the love x3 you were used to must now be spread throughout the nation for a time.

Keep pimpin' game and see you all later biotches!

Best of NYC Bros - 2007

The year of 2007 for Jaymoo was one of major changes - with the culminating moment being his marriage to Caitlin in August. Said changed also affected the Bros as well, but also led to many adventures and shenanigans. Below are the highlights of 2007!

01/18 - Late Night Bowling Trip With Solemn Stephen: Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day the best way we know how...bowling.
01/25 - Trip to Lizzie Borden's in Mass: Caitlin gave me the best Christmas gift a human being can receive and further reminding me why she is the greatest woman alive.

02/12 - Kelly Marshall Dance Party at Culture Club: Yeah, we were the only people there.
02/27 - Best Valentines Give Ever: Caitlin took me to a private concert by my very favorite street musician in New York City - Edward!!!

04/25 - I Meet Jared From Subway, Kind Of: Actually, he sort of blew me off, jerk.
05/09 - Genevieve's Haircut: Mike starts putting his hair cutting skills to work!
05/13 - The Engagement: I propose to Caitlin in Harlem in her sweaty, hot office.
05/16 - Picture With The Cast of Lost!!!!
06/03-06/21 - Our Amazing Trip to Spain Blows Minds Non-stop: This was one incredible trip.

Best of NYCBros - 2006

Oh the adventures of 2006 - how can we forget? I met Caitlin in 2006 at Duck Beach and we started dating. I switched over to Subway from Dannon at my advertising agency.

1/14 - Final 5 Mulcock Visual Goodnesses: Just more examples of why I enjoyed that my parents lived in Florida for a while.

1/23 - Day in BKNY for my DKNY: We found that $7 million dollar brownstone in Brooklyn Hieghts that we wanted to buy and start a convent where Mormons would live in style!

2/6 - Modern Amusement Turns to Modern Bummer: I got two left feet on the shoes that I would later wear constantly up until this very day.

2/21 - DC Winter Olympics!!!: This is one of my favorite posts and moments from the last 3 years. Ashley and I created our own winter olympics from her small apartment in DC using things and costumes from around the house. Truly amazing.

3/9 - Arrival of Little NYC Bro: Michael moved to New York to live with us!

4/5 - Flaming Lips Concert: I saw a lot of great concerts in New York. While this was not the best one, it was one of the most fun. It also was an example of time spent with coworkers and free stuff that I really enjoyed.

4/25 - Urban Chicago Love: My first trip to Chicago ever!!!

5/2 - The Close Bunch: My lingo film with Halesaclause making out with Josh in it. Also, Jeff Butler as The Butler. Wicked.

6/5 - Jeff Meets Caitlin at Duck Beach: There is no question as to Caitlin won my heart...it was the back massage.

6/23 - Crazy Girlfriend Post: I love that Caitlin posted as Anonymous here (first one) because we weren't dating yet and I don't think she wanted to appear as a stalker :).

7/5 - Michael's Birthday at Culture Club: All I can say is that this night was ridiculously amazing.

7/10 - Belle and Sebastian 4th of July: Caitlin's first hot dog and our first time being together in public as a "couple". Also, I had a hicky that day for the first time in my life, which was shameful.

8/7 - Lawn Bowling Introduction: Our first lawn bowling experience ever!

8/21 - Ben Wilson and Slava Snowshow: This still reigns as one of my favorite theater pieces I have seen in New York City.

8/31 - Cyberpsycho Premier in DC!: This is one of the most proud days of my life, watching Cyberpsycho on a real movie screen and having people scream in the theater. Caitlin came to support, which was amazing but serious relationship stuff.

9/25 - The Cheese Chase: We drove like 5 hours to a tiny shack of a cheese factory that closed 5 minutes before we got there. Still, a really amazing time for Stephoin, Big D, and Jaymoo.

9/28 - Little's Project Runway Video: I love this video of Mike in Chicago.

10/3 - My Halloween Birthday Party: This was the amazing party Caitlin threw me for my birthday and the night that I first thought I might marry her.

Best Of NYCBros - 2005

Well, as you know, the time of mine and Caitlin's departure from New York is extremely nigh. We will be loading our stuff into a Uhaul on August 6th and starting our long 13 hour drive to Chicago August 7th in the morning. While an official goodbye will be published on this blog at a later date, I would really like to publish for you my favorite moments of the last 3 1/2 years. One of my favorite things about blogging is that it acts as a journal. I can basically look back at any month from July 2005 to now and see what I was up to. I wish I had done this the first 2 years of my time here in New York City so I could start with April 2003, but alas, we shall begin with 2005.

So, without further ado, below are my favorite moments of 2005 starting in July!

8/5 - The Divirginizing First Post: I love that I posted a completely random picture of some friends from Boise on this post, because that is really all I had available at work where I posted my first post.

9/20 - My Official Rating System: This is where my theories about proper reviewing of films were explained. Please note that I got really lazy about reviewing films later on this blog...but the system itself remains in tact!

9/28 - Erin's Guest Blog: She showed us all how to predict the outcomes of the pairing of any individual in any situation based on scientific analysis.

10/6 - Basket Case Viewing With Amber and Natalie: I can't believe this actually happened. Amber and I relived this moment just the other day and decided it was one of the most disturbing and awkward moments of our lives.

10/7 - Sibling Rivalry Part 1!!!: Who could forget - I wish I had the video to post here. This is the moment that started it all.

11/9 - Many Faces of Beefsquee: Hahahahahaha I love these pictures of Michelle all dressed up in different outfits at the antique stores. Oh man, tear.

11/18 - Stephen's 30th Birthday Wishes: All still very true.

12/2 - The Many Faces of Limon: Don't judge me, we love this bird.

12/14 - Jacksonville Adventures: I really loved Florida and often miss it. This post is just an example of why.

12/23 - Gold Street Christmas: Sometimes I forget how much time we spent and fun we had with the original 2 gold gang. Carrot lips and cup hair!!!

That concludes my highlights from 2005. Look forward tomorrow for 2006!

*Cheese* Post of Rememberence

Where were you a year ago today? I can tell you where I was. Actually, I guess it depends on what time of the day you are referring to. Last year at this time I woke up in my bunk bed downtown. Then I hurried up to Bishop Cropper's pad to meet my parents where I waited while they got ready. I passed the time pacing and trying not to throw up from nerves. Then I went to the temple where I met up with Caitlin Winmill. Well, then we got married...

Yes, today is our one year anniversary. It is completely unbelievable to me that an entire year has gone by so quickly. While it seems just yesterday that Caitlin and I were standing in Central Park having our pictures taken and celebrating with all our friends on the roof downtown, it also seems like Caitlin and I have been married forever. This has without question been the best year of my life.

Stephen, Michael and I had a sleepover last Friday and Stephen reminded me that if it weren't for Caitlin, I would be moving to Chicago alone right now. I have no idea how. I am very grateful that Caitlin is coming with me. As we are winding down to the big move date (Thursday!!!), I am beginning to freak out. In response, Caitlin and I have been doing lots of contemplative walks and nights out. Saturday was a great example:

We went to our favorite restaurant Joya to celebrate how much packing we had done that day (thanks to Tracy - YOU RULE PACK QUEEN!). Caitlin is going to really have a tough time not being able to have her $7 vegetable pad thai. Then we got some serious Tasti D. They had mounds flavor that night, which rocked my world.A very beautiful, but ominous cloud passed by so we ran into Urban Outfitters to look for some sunglasses for our trip. There were some ridiculous sales going on in there. At first I was partial to these blue rimmed aviators. But then I decided to check out several pair, runway style.

But in the end, I chose the following pair:
Sans the little white clip thing in the middle, they look pretty sweet. Plus, only $4.99!

Beach hats for Costa Rica? Why not? We picked up a pair of boots for Caitlin ($9.99!), a jacket, sunglasses, and a cardigan for the up and coming cold fall in Evanston. Take that Lake Michigan wind!!! Our walk to us to the promenade and Fulton Landing.

While my opinions of the waterfalls that are currently in place have not been highly favorable, I do enjoy them more at night.
Whats more, they look great with this woman in front of them. Back when I moved to NYC, Craigy and I used to take lots of walks across the bridge with guests that came in town. We would definitely pick up an orange flavored beverage of choice at Peas and Pickles on the way to the landing. How could I not relive those memories?Walk, walk, and more walk. Caitlin and I have been so fortunate this year to have lived where we live and had the life we do. Despite the uncertainty change, life is going to always be good with Caitlin in it. Happy Anniversary Wooms!

Squeebs Gets Sliced!

Just a quick Beefsquee shout out. I just found out that Beeps got a fantastic new doo recently. Below is a picture of her with her new haircut, which is mega short. I'm sure there are better pictures than this to demonstrate its shortness, but I like this photo because she has a butterfly on her leg...so back off!!! I really like this new hair cut. Its borderline classic with some sass.
I guess she went to a cabin with some friends this weekend and things got a little out of hand. For example, the photo below. Fortunately for these girls, there was no "Loon" type scary moments....this time.
